The Company’s most important product is the turbomolecular pump, or turbopump for short. This class of pumps was invented at Pfeiffer over 40 years ago and has been steadily refined. Turbopumps generate vacuums in the high to ultra-high vacuum range of up to 10^-11 mbar.
