In the past the following buy back authorizations were given:

At the Annual Shareholders Meeting on May 31, 2007 the Company's management board was again authorized to buy back shares until November 28, 2008 up to a maximum of 10 percent of the share capital in place. The Company did not make use of this authorization.

At the Shareholders Meeting Based on May 31, 2006 the Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG was authorized to acquire shares of the Company until November 30, 2007 up to a maximum of 10 % of the share capital in place. Based on the authorization the Company has begun to buy back shares on June 13, 2006. The buyback program was lead-managed by broker firm which determined the timing of individual purchases independently of, and without any influence being exerted by, Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG. Until June 30, 2006 the Company has bought back 27,000 shares amounting to 1,279,615.28 Euro, that is 0.3 % of the share capital at an average price of 47.39 Euro.

At the Annual Shareholders Meeting on June 16, 2004 the Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG was again authorized to buy back shares until December 15, 2005 up to a maximum of 2,250,393.60 Euro (representing 10 % of share capital) of the share capital in place. The Company did not make use of this authorization.

In June 2002 the Annual Shareholders Meeting of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG authorized the Management Board to buy back shares until December 10, 2003 up to a maximum of 2,250,393.60 Euro of the share capital in place at the date of the resolution and to withdraw such shares from circulation without any requirement for a further resolution at the Annual Meeting. This amount represents 10 % of the share capital. Based on the authorization given by the Annual Shareholders Meeting in June 2002, the Company bought back 100,076 shares representing 1.1 % of the share capital at an average price of 24.37 Euro.
