Learning objective:The participants will learn the practical aspects of helium leak detection. They will be able to check vacuum systems and vacuum installations systematically for leaks.

Sniffing, accumulation
b) under vacuum
Helium spraying, integral and partial vacuum methods
• Influence of environmental parameters: Materials, temperature, humidity, conductance, outgassing,...
• Helium leak detector service cases and good practice in leak detector operation
Practical exercises
• Pressure rise methods
• Sniffing methods
• Vacuum methods
