Working with Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers (Software Quadstar)

Target audience:Users, operating and maintenance personnel
Prior knowledge:Fundamental knowledge of vacuum technology, basic knowledge of Windows
Learning objective:The participants will be imparted with fundamental knowledge relating to the function, application and operation of quadrupole mass spectrometers.
Course content:First day
• Principles of quadrupole mass spectrometry
• Potential applications and equipment selection
Second and third days
• Installation, start-up and operation
• Parameter settings / Practical exercises
• Calibration
The course content will be imparted predominantly by working on a Prisma (QMS 200) in conjunction with a turbopumping station or with a GSD 300 operating with the Quadstar software.
It is recommended that participates bring with them a notebook with RS 232 interface or USB/RS 232 adapter for the practical exercises.
Registration deadline:2 weeks prior to the beginning of the course.
