Nobel Prize in Physics for LIGO: Pfeiffer Vacuum congratulates Prof. Dr. Rainer Weiss and the whole research team
At October 3, 2017, the US scientists Rainer Weiss, Barry Barish and Kip Thorne received the Nobel Prize in Physics for the first detection of gravitational waves. They are the founders of the LIGO observatory, at which an international research team with several hundred members conducts research on gravitational waves.
For many years, the LIGO experts have cooperated with Pfeiffer Vacuum. Click here for the interview on the cooperation between Pfeiffer Vacuum and LIGO.
