Data Protection Statement (Detailed)

In this detailed Data Protection Statement, we elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the collection of data associated with our website as set out in the short version. For external links to third-party content, we assume no liability despite our careful content controls.

In the following, you will find information on what data is collected during your visit to the website and how it is used:

1. Collection and Processing of Data

Every visit to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on the website is logged. The storage of these data serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. For these purposes, we store the data for a maximum of 6 months. The following data are logged:

  • Name of the retrieved file,
  • Date and time of the retrieval,
  • Volume of data transmitted,
  • Notification of successful retrieval,
  • Web browser and the domain that requests data,
  • Referrer URL,
  • The IP addresses of computers that request data.
  • In some cases, the website uses so-called cookies.

Cookies are small amounts of data in the form of text information which the web server sends to your browser. These are stored on your hard drive. Cookies can only be read by the server that previously stored them, and they receive information about when you visited the website and what you viewed there. Cookies identify the IP address of the computer and do not store any personal information such as your name.

You are asked to decide on the use of cookies the first time you visit the website by checking or unchecking a consent box. This is done as follows: If a checkmark is already set and grayed out, and you are unable to remove it, the cookies are necessary for operating the site. The legal basis for their use is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If a checkmark is already set and is green, and you are able to remove it, the legal basis is identical but the cookies are not mandatory, so the checkmark can be removed. Leaving the checkmark in place does not constitute consent. For all other cookies, we require your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). There is no pre-checked consent box in this case, but you can set a checkmark yourself. By checking the box, you are considered to have given your consent.

For all cookies, including the necessary ones, changes can be made in your browser settings. At a minimum, the following settings are possible:

  • Always accept and save cookies,
  • Accept cookies but delete them after each session,
  • Do not accept cookies.

If you disable the use of all cookies, it may not be possible to access all the functions on the website or error messages may appear.

1.1. Newsletter

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or otherwise provided us with an email address for receiving the newsletter, we will use the email address you provide for this newsletter. If this email address differs from the email address used for other communications, we will use it exclusively for the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. If you have provided an exclusive newsletter email address, we will delete it immediately after unsubscribing.

Further personal data is only collected if you provide this information voluntarily, for example when contacting us.

1.2. Further Data Acquisition Forms

Should further forms be included within the Internet presence, which we use to collect data from you, it is generally indicated which data we absolutely require within the framework of the form and which information you can provide to us on a voluntary basis.

As a rule, we use the data provided in these forms exclusively for a clearly discernible purpose of providing you information (e.g.: If you ask us a question, we will only use the collected email address to answer that question).

If the purpose of the data collection is either not obvious or we pursue other purposes than normally indicated, you will find the exact explanation regarding the data collection within such a form in a specific data protection notice, which you must opt-in to confirm before submitting the form.

If the associated data processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent), this particular data protection notice is not formulated as information, but as a consent. In this case, you consent to the data processing by selecting the opt-in field. You can revoke this consent at any time with future effect.

The fact that you have selected the opt-in field will be saved together with your request. The duration of this storage ends when the stated purpose of the storage is fulfilled.

2. Disclosure of Personal Data

Your personal data will only be disclosed to third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is deemed necessary for the purpose of processing the contract, for billing purposes or if you have given your prior consent. Here, too, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with future effect.

The deletion or blocking of the stored personal data takes place if you revoke your consent to the storage, if the information is no longer required for the fulfilment of the purpose pursued through the storage, or if the storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons. Once we have transmitted your data, we will notify the recipient of the need for deletion.
