Pfeiffer Vacuum supports again aid organizations for Ukraine with donations

Beginning this year, Pfeiffer Vacuum has provided for the second time 50,000 euros to the NGO “Pompiers Humanitaires Solidaires“ located in Annecy, France. With the aid of this donation, three fully equipped ambulances loaded with medical supplies have been given to a hospital in Ukraine. Before crossing the Ukrainian border, the organization also purchased fresh products and groceries that will be distributed in the regions close to the war zone.
Another 50,000 euros have been provided to the “Pharmaciens sans Frontière” initiative, which also transports urgently needed medical supplies and drugs to Ukraine.
In March, Pfeiffer Vacuum supported the help initiative of Universitätsmedizin Essen, Germany, with 50,000 euros for a second time. The sum will be used for emergency medical aid in Ukrainian hospitals.
Dr. Britta Giesen, CEO, says: “We keep our promise to help the Ukrainian people as long as the war lasts. This is why we have decided to donate to the Pompiers Humanitaires Solidaires as well as the Stiftung Universitätsmedizin Essen again because we can be sure that the help arrives without deductions directly in the regions where people urgently need medical supplies. The donation to Pharmaciens sans Frontière supports yet another initiative that brings help directly to where it is needed most. I want to emphasize once more: In the current situation, it is our duty to prove our corporate social responsibility and to continue providing aid.”
During a visit to Pfeiffer Vacuum in Asslar for the symbolic handover of the donation, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Radtke, Chairman of the Stiftung Universitätsmedizin Essen and member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, says: “Stiftung Universitätsmedizin Essen, together with the Essen University Medical Center, has been committed to providing medical aid since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. To ensure that the sick and injured receive ongoing care, continuous supplies of medication as well as medical materials and equipment are needed. This is a huge effort that can only be achieved with the help of partners. We are therefore even more grateful for the renewed support of Pfeiffer Vacuum."
